About This Project

Job: Geotechnical – Slope Stabilization
Client: Private Client
Dates: Jan 2018

iBEX carried out these works on behalf of Ironside Farrar, for a private client, to stabilise the slope to the rear of their garden and ensure the garden is not lost due to future potential movement.

From the outset, the aim of this project was to execute a cost-effective solution, with minimal impact on the mature gardens at the rear of the property. During the works iBEX carried out:

  • Clear and remove significant vegetation and redundant timber fence
  • Survey slope with Ironside Farrar and make amendments to soil nail design
  • Install 50 Soil Nails using R32 hollow bar into a 76mm diameter hole, all drilled from iBEX’s hydraulic Marini CID 80 mast on DACHS drill frame
  • Installing 180m2 of Geobrugg Greenax mesh

The works were undertaken in the winter months and although the weather conditions were extreme, the iBEX completed the project on time and to budget without causing any damage to the clients gardens.
